Assoc Prof Dr Omar was appointed as the Head of Training of the IPv6 Forum Malaysia in 2013. Presently he is working as Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of NetWeave Sdn. Bhd.  Previously, Dr. Omar worked as CTO of IPv6 Global Sdn. Bhd. Prior to that Dr. Omar worked as a senior lecturer and head of human resource development at the National Advanced IPv6 Centre (NAv6), USM, Malaysia.

Dr. Omar Abouabdalla is one of the co-founders for the CNE6 training program. Certified IPv6 Network Engineer (CNE6) training program aims to give in depth information on the transition from IPv4 to IPv6 and expose the participants on the technical expertise needed in the deployment of IPv6 in the organizations network.
